12-year old Jake Andreotti drove the K&N Filters equipped number 7p Super 600 Micro sprint to one of the most prestigious titles in California. Jake became the first repeat King of California title holder in two different classes, and both in his rookie year for each class. Andreotti Racing credits “Hard work, dedication, perseverance and the want to challenge himself along with his supportive sponsors helped win this title.”
Heading into the final round Jake was 5 points behind the championship leader. Jake never let the pressure get to him, and instead thrived under pressure. Andreotti set the fast time out of 14 cars, finished 4th in the heat race before going on to win main event. With this win Jake not only won his second King of California title, but he also won the Super 600 Micro Sprint Lemoore Championship and the Budweiser Grand Prix title.
The King of California race was comprised of 25 races at both Lemoore Raceway and Plaza Park Raceway. After the first 16 races, the points were reset sending only the top ten into the King of California title chase. The King of California title was decided over the remaining 9 races.
Andreotti Racing would like to thank their sponsors for believing in Jake and supporting him throughout the season. In 2016 Andreotti Racing will be adding a CS9 Micro Sprint to their racing program and will be running two cars in two classes with the hopes of one day winning a prestigious Golden Driller award at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals.
